“Moon”

A very fine film. I am a big fan of Sam Rockwell.

“Entertainment Weekly” is purported to have once described Rockwell as “destined by a kind of excessive interestingness to forever be a colorful sidekick.”

Well, he is even a colorful sidekick to himself in “Moon.” That makes more sense if you see the movie.

The look and pacing hints of influence from past space thrillers like “2001: A Space Odyssey” and “Alien.” Right up my alley.

The plot twist is not a huge surprise, but that is not important for the story. It is ultimately a look into human greed, memories and loneliness. It is a phenomenal science fiction psychological  thriller that could have gone so many ways, but went for all the best avenues.

It reminds you of your own mortality and brings up all those existential questions in a new, interesting way.

It left me unnerved and kind of pumped.

A plus!
